The polls show Obama virtually tied now with Clinton in California.
He has swept the California Newspapers' endorsements
He has gotten key endorsements in the state.
It all seems like the momentum is his, he could tie.
But I think my evidence says he will win. My evidence? Three elderly women in San Francisco.
I am a precinct captain in this city. I've been making about 20 calls a day, putting up signs, going to fund raisers, etc.
Working hard, as the soon-to-be-former-president would say.
ANd today I had the most amazing three calls. All within 15 minutes.
Each was an elderly woman. Different numbers and addresses. Each said they were excited to vote for Obama. They must have lived in the same building, because each said their voting place was in their building.
Not one of them have voted in a primary in the last 3 presidential elections (according to my records), only one has voted in the general election in 2004.
These are not "Likely" voters. These are unlikely voters.
But these are women who are STOKED (my words) to vote for Obama and WILL vote for Obama.
Three unlikely voters. Excited to vote in a primary the first time in their life.
For Obama.
None of those ID'd for Clinton were 'unlikely' so far.
Obama is going to get over 50% in California.
That's my prediction.
oh...
Add that to the fact that my mother and step-father (likely voters) just recently changed their minds (as of Monday) from CLinton to Obama.
ANd my two conservative (but 'undeclared') Mormon friends who have never voted for a Democrat before are going to vote for Obama.
I think we will take California.
WORK HARD THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!
I'm canvassing tomorrow and taking Tuesday off to do more.
